‘Populace’ was an outdoor public art installation on the grounds of the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa marking Canada’s sesquicentennial. This project by the Ottawa Guild of Potters and 2017 members of the community was directed by Kirstin Davidson (Coördinator), Kim Lulashnyk (Outreach and Communications) and Hilde Lambrechts (Designer). A total of 9000 ceramic feathers, fleurs de lys, and roses recognized the Indigenous, the French and the British peoples at the time of Confederation.

This project was funded by the city of Ottawa, the province of Ontario, Tiree, and Gowling WLG.
